What actually happens, step by step
Go Kazi sells three things: verified identity, discovery, and an evidence trail. It does not hold your money, insure your car, or guarantee anybody's conduct — and it is worth being plain about that.
If you are renting

Get verified once
Photograph your ID and driving licence. A reviewer reads them and replies within a day. You do this once, not per booking.

Search real availability
Cars with a confirmed booking over your dates do not appear at all. What you see is free.
- 03
Ask, then request
Message the owner in the app. When you are ready, request the dates — you see the rate, the days, the total and the deposit first.

The owner decides
They see your verification, licence class, trip history and standing. Most answer within hours; the request expires by itself if they do not.

Meet and photograph
Six angles, the odometer and the fuel level, taken together at the car. Our server timestamps them, not your phone.

Pay the owner directly
Cash, M-Pesa, whatever you agree. Go Kazi never touches this money and takes no commission from it.

Return and check out
The same six photos again. The two sets sit side by side, which settles most arguments before they start.
If you are listing

One registration fee
Paid once by M-Pesa. There is no commission on any booking, in any phase.

Verification
Your ID, logbook and insurance certificate. Ownership is confirmed against the logbook name.

List the car
You set the daily rate and the deposit. Four clear photos minimum before it goes live.

Answer requests
You see who is asking before you reply. Accepting blocks the dates and opens a private line.
- 05
Keep your number
Calls and texts route through a leased number for the trip. Neither side sees the other's real one.

Get paid at handover
Directly, in full, by whatever means you agree. Go Kazi is not in the payment.
