Terms of service
Plain terms for a platform that deliberately does less than most. Please read the second and fourth sections in particular.
What Go Kazi is
Go Kazi is an introduction service. We verify identity and documents, we host listings and conversations, and we keep a record of what was agreed and what happened at handover. We are not a party to the rental agreement between an owner and a renter.
What Go Kazi is not
We are not a car hire company, a broker, an insurer, a payment service, or a guarantor. We do not own, inspect, maintain or insure any vehicle listed here, and we do not hold, transfer or guarantee any rental payment or deposit.
Verification
“Verified” means a person has reviewed the documents submitted, checked them for expiry and consistency, and matched names across them. It is not a statement about anyone's character, driving, or the mechanical condition of any vehicle. It is a check, not a guarantee.
Payment
The renter pays the owner directly. Any amount shown on Go Kazi is a record of what the two parties agreed at the time of the request. We neither collect it nor guarantee it. The only sum we collect is our own registration fee from owners, which is non-refundable once verification has been carried out.
Conduct and standing
Accounts carry a standing. A reviewer may downgrade or suspend an account following an upheld report or dispute, with a recorded reason. A suspended account cannot request or accept bookings. We can publish a finding; we cannot award compensation.
Contact
The two parties do not exchange phone numbers through Go Kazi. Calls and messages between a confirmed pair route through a leased number. Either party may request an emergency reveal, which is recorded against the booking.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, Go Kazi's liability arising from any rental introduced through the platform is limited to the fees we have received from you. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
